SEMI-PRIVATE PERFORMANCE TRAINING


Semi private training an effective and affordable way to take your sports performance training to the
next level. Our typical Semi-private training has individuals in small groups of 2-8 people training alongside each other under the watchful guidance of a well-trained, well educated strength coach who can assess and correct any technical issue that may arise.

In our semi-private training environment a person will follow their own personal program, based on an thorough, individual assessment. We always say “If we’re not assessing, we’re guessing.” and guessing can put our athletes at risk and our number one core value is to “Do No Harm.” We do not shop out our programs because we believe that the person coaching should know what each individual needs.

As a part of the Sports Performance Community, you will:

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM


One the things we enjoy most at Wake Barbell is helping develop the youth in there endeavor to become excellent athletes. This is the primary purpose of our Youth Development Program. This program is based on a curriculum that will take your son or daughter’s athletic ability to the next level by introducing and developing the skills they need to be bigger, stronger, faster in sports.

These programs are built out in semester form with one in the Spring, Summer and Fall targeting athletes ages 7-12. They are each approximately 16 weeks long with the option for athletes to train 2x/week or 3x/week are are build on the scientific principles of strength training that are foundational to developing elite level athletes.These principles would be the SAID (Specific Adaptation to Imposed Demand) and progressive overload. We believe that an athlete should be trained based on the loading that is necessary to illicit the adaptation not the loading an athlete is capable of doing. During these 16 weeks your athlete will learn:

  • Proper Lifting Technique
  • Reduce Injury Risk
  • Increase General Physical Preparedness (GPP)
  • Increase Muscle Strength and Power
  • Increase Flexibility, Mobility, and Stability
  • Increase Linear, Lateral and Multi-directional/Game Speed
  • Proper Sprinting Mechanics
  • Increase Metabolic Conditioning

At Wake Barbell we place a high priority on quality movement. Our very first core value is “To Do No Harm” and with our youth this is especially important because we want to make sure they have a strong foundation for them to develop strength, power and speed.

Training Times Days and Times:

  • Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday @ 5pm
  • Tuesday/Thursday @ 7pm
  • Saturday @ 11am

Program Cost:

  • 2 times/ week is $140/month
  • 3 times/ week is $175/month

** The program goes for 4 months. If you want to pay for the entire program in full up front, click “At Gym” for Payment option. Pay in Full comes with a 10% discount from the overall cost of the program.
